Founded by a passionate team of physicists, supported by IT experts, and a world-leading radiologist, Vinaver Medical was born from a simple yet powerful idea: to bridge the gap in particle therapy. With around 140 particle radiotherapy centers globally, with even more under construction, many remain inaccessible for large-scale cancer treatment due to cost and limited precision. The founders saw an opportunity to change that, and they set out to boost the impact of particle therapy by improving medical imaging tools to ensure treatment hits the cancer, not healthy tissue.
Vinaver Medical’s technology addresses one of the key challenges in cancer care: precision. Particle therapy is like a “sharp knife,” and their solution ensures it’s used to its full potential. Their tools increase the accuracy of treatment planning, allowing up to 50% more patients to qualify for this life-saving therapy.
Backed by prestigious partnerships with Duke University in the USA and MC Erasmus Hospital in the Netherlands, Vinaver Medical has made significant strides. Their journey has been marked by wins at numerous grant programs, including SmartStart, Startup Shower, and GovTech, and a spotlight at international tech events, like the 66th International Tech Fair in Belgrade, World MedTech Summit in Malta, and WebSummit in Portugal. Even the President of Lombardy, Attilio Fontana, has visited their team based in Science and Technology Park in Novi Sad, Serbia!
Competing in a space dominated by giants like Siemens and Canon, Vinaver Medical stands out by offering a solution that adds value without disrupting current workflows. They’ve found their sweet spot by seamlessly integrating with existing spectral CT vendors—making them not just another competitor but a key player enhancing current technologies.
